There’s something incredibly special about being trusted to capture one of the biggest moments in a couple’s story.


Over the last couple of years, our team at Christman Photography has photographed so many beautiful surprise proposals throughout Jim Thorpe, the Pocono Mountains, and the Lehigh Valley. We’ve hidden behind trees, blended into crowds, pretended to admire the scenery, and held our breath as nervous partners got down on one knee.


We've witnessed tears, laughter, complete shock, and countless joyful "yes" moments in some of the most beautiful locations Pennsylvania has to offer. Being at the very beginning of a love story is one of our favorite moments to document and many of our couples go on to book us as their wedding photographers.

At Christman Photography, we believe these moments deserve to be documented. A proposal only happens once. It is one of the very few moments in life where neither person knows exactly how they will feel until it happens. The excitement, nerves, anticipation, relief, tears, laughter and overwhelming joy that all unfolds in real time can never be recreated in quite the same way again.
