On a bright, breezy afternoon on May 25, 2025, Giovanni asked Julia one of life’s biggest questions — and Christman Photography was there to capture it all in breathtaking detail.
As a proposal photographer based in Jim Thorpe, PA, I’ve had the honor of documenting many special moments, but this one was particularly memorable.
Planning the Perfect Proposal at Tank Hollow
Giovanni reached out to me weeks before the big day, and from the beginning, it was clear how much he cared about getting everything just right. We worked closely together to choose the perfect scenic location: Tank Hollow Trail Overlook, a hidden gem in Jim Thorpe known for its sweeping views and dramatic clifftop setting.
To make sure everything went smoothly, I personally scouted the area ahead of time, sent Giovanni detailed instructions, and even shared reference photos so he could visualize the exact spot. On the day of the proposal, I arrived early to prep the scene and found a family enjoying the overlook. With time running short, I kindly asked if they’d be willing to move to give the couple privacy — and they did. Just in time.
The Big Moment
The sun was shining, the sky was perfect, and a gentle mountain breeze rolled through the trees — it couldn’t have been a more beautiful day. Giovanni and Julia made their way to the overlook, where Giovanni got down on one knee.
She said yes. 💍
The moment was raw, emotional, and absolutely stunning. I kept my distance to give them space during the proposal, then guided them through a relaxed photo session on the natural cliffside overlook, letting them soak in the moment while capturing it from every angle.
