How they meet & Proposal

It all began with two people on a dating app trying to find their perfect match. It was September of 2021 when Courtney swiped right and messaged Michael for the first time. They started texting back and forth for a few weeks prior to meeting in person. They met in person on Monday, September 27th at The Promenade Shops and Courtney was a bit skeptical and tired with it being a school night but it was the only night Mike had off during baseball season.

Courtney and Mike spent the evening walking, talking and getting Starbucks. Once they got their drinks in hand, they found seating right across from Barnes and Noble and talked long into the night. They had fun until they both realized they had work the next day.

After that first date, they decided to continue seeing one another to see if there was a connection between them. Over time with many dates and long phone calls, Michael and Courtney decided to make it ""official" on Decemebr 7th. Even though they were pretty much official prior to that date.

Michael and Courtney are enjoying this journey they call life together and are thankful fate had a hand in their love story!

It was Friday, April 27, 2024. It was a cooler, overcast day...Michael took Courtney to a couple of spots throughout the day. They had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. Then, Michael took Courtney over to a nearby park where they went on a walk. They got to a beautiful spot where Michael knew it was time.

Michael got down on one knee and pulled out a ring to ask Courtney to be his wife. At first, she did not say much, but then proceeded to say "Wow, that is big!" Followed by a "Yes!"

Later that night, Michael took Courtney to Easton's La Dolce Vita Restaurant, where both of their families were waiting to celebrate their engagement!

Best part of being Engaged + Some Advice

Michael's favorite part about being engaged is knowing the fact that he is ready to spend the rest of his life with the love of his life! He's been enjoying the process of working with Courtney to put together a beautiful wedding day for themselves, their families, and their friends!

Courtney's favorite part about being engaged is growing her love with Michael and spend the rest of her life with her best friend! She also loves how people noticing her engagement ring and commenting how nice it is! She also loves having Michael as her fiancé and uses the word quite frequently when addressing Michael or talking about him to others :)

Courtney's advice for couples is elope...in all seriousness, remember to have fun and enjoy the process with your partner and remember this day is about the two of you. Always remember to communicate with your partner and have open dialogue about each aspect of the wedding. It also helps to have a date night where you create a fun wedding board with each other!

As for Michael, it's making sure that you communicate not only with your partner on every aspect of planning for the big day, but also having effective communication with families and friends about certain wants and don't wants on the big day.
