How they Met
Alanna & Danny met through LARPING. The two met in a unique & different way compared to most of my couples who meet online or at a friend's party. What is LARPING? Live-Action Role-Play. Urban Dictionary will tell you the definition, but I love this! I am a nerd at heart, and Live Action Role Play is for the NERDS! 💙 I always wanted to try it out, but when I put on my stormtrooper armor, this photographer pretends to be a Stormtrooper in the movies when interacting with kids & fans at events. So, it is kind of like Larping in that sense? But anyway, let's move on!
The Proposal
After dinner at a small diner they never have been too, which was right down the road from their house. Danny decided to propose that day. They got back to the car, and he pulled out the little package the ring was in. Danny hadn't even gotten the words out! He was getting ready to kneel, and Alanna hugged him and immediately said 'yes.' Our heroes got engaged on 9/13/19. It was Friday the 13th and a harvest moon and he thought it was the perfect day to do it. He was right. Alanna was not expecting it.
Advice from the Couple
My advice is that if you are planning a wedding and you don't want a huge gathering, don't let your family pressure you into it. It's your day not theirs and you should be the one to enjoy it and make the decisions.
Our Time at the Session
I arrived early (usually do), and after doing some light exploring, Alanna & Danny soon came with these fantastic outfits. Like, look how awesome and unique they are!? I told them they looked like Renaissance characters! We both chucked and started talking about what they like to do for fun as a couple besides larping. We even started to play some music! To my surprise, Rap was mentioned, but we settled on some Lindsay Sterling radio on Pandora. Naturally, the Legend of Zelda theme by Lindsay Sterling played, which I thought was the perfect music for this setting, wouldn't you agree?
