From the Photographers

We had an amazing time yesterday capturing Makayla & Joe's engagement session on the scenic D&L Trail in Bethlehem, PA! The trail was absolutely breathtaking, with lush greenery as far as the eye could see. But the real star of the shoot was their adorable Chihuahua, Bowser! 🐾

Makayla and Joe were an absolute dream to work with - easygoing, fun, and totally in love! We laughed, explored, and captured some truly magical moments together. A huge shoutout to this amazing couple for choosing us to join their journey! ⭐️ 💕

How they Met + The Proposal

We met at Diner 248 as coworkers years before going on our first date. Then, in 2019 we began messaging each other and planned to meet at the Quadrant Book Mart & Coffee House in Easton, PA. The rest is history!

We went to the D&L trail in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania for a late afternoon picnic. After walking for a little while, we walked off the trail to a beautiful spot next to the river. Once there, we put out all of the food that we had brought which included sushi and homemade guacamole! Shortly after this, Joseph pulled out the most beautiful ring and asked me to marry him. After a few minutes of shock, excitement, and embrace, we moved on to eating. Makayla was way too emotional to eat at this point, though, so Joseph had to finish everything!! Joseph was feeling nervous leading up to popping the question. I would say I was expecting to get engaged in the near future since we had talked about those sorts of things, but I wasn’t necessarily expecting it that day!

Best Part of being Engaged + Some Advice

Our favorite part about being engaged has been the long-awaited anticipation of marrying each other. Each month that passes and gets closer to our wedding is much more exciting.

Stay organized! It can be very easy to get lost in everything going on. Planning a wedding is more extensive than we had initially thought. However, if you keep track of everything, the process should go much smoother! Remember that through all the chaos, the most important thing to remember is that you are marrying the love of your life!
