From The Photographer

⭐ What an absolute DREAM session this was! When Khanhly and Vincent suggested exploring Manayunk to photograph their engagement session, we jumped at the chance and challenge. We had so much fun with them and the colors, the laughter and the location were perfection!

We are beyond excited to be photographing your wedding next year!

How they met

Vincent and I first met at the Manayunk Food Truck Festival in May 2015! Vincent was too busy trying the food at all the vendors so it wasn't until we met again at a beach trip that we started talking to one another to get to know each other.

The Proposal

We got engaged on September 13th, 2020 in Connecticut during a hiking trip. Apparently, Vincent had everything planned in the months prior. First, he secretly went to my parent's house to ask for their blessing for the proposal. Then, he arranged for a family hiking trip together with my brother and his sister in Connecticut.

At first, I was suspicious about the trip because it was suggested out of nowhere but Vincent convinced me to go so I just went along with the trip. When we finally reached the pinnacle of the hiking trail that overlooked a vast valley, Vincent got down on one knee, pulled out the ring, and asked me:

"Khanhly, would you like to spend the rest of your life going on adventures like this with me?" I said "Of course, yes!" with a big smile on my face :D I was over the moon and felt like the luckiest girl that day!

Best Part About Being Engaged + Some Advice

Aside from wedding planning, my favorite part about being engaged is that we both get new titles ;) An upgrade from boyfriend/girlfriend. We enjoy calling each other fiancée/fiancé and get to do an engagement photoshoot! Vincent's favorite part was doing the food tasting from our vendors lol.

👉 Communication is key!

Vincent and I discussed what we like/dislike and find common ground in styles/themes that we want to create for our special day. Planning a wedding can be very stressful so we try to dedicate a day out of the week to sit down and discuss the wedding :) We also feel fortunate to have great recommendations from friends and family members. For us, food is a big part of our cultures so we actually found our caterer first and planned all the other wedding components around that!
