From the Photographers
Samantha & Patrick’s engagement session in downtown Easton was a beautiful blend of nostalgia and pure joy. We started at 3rd & Ferry Fish Market, the place where their very first date sparked the beginning of their story. From there, we wandered the charming streets of Easton before stopping at Bank Street Creamery for some well-earned ice cream and laughter. These two were all smiles the entire time, and it was an honor to document such a meaningful chapter in their journey toward “I do.”
How they Met
Patrick was living alone in Easton, PA, he was thinking about getting a cat, but was interested in getting a sphynx cat. His sister mentioned that she knew someone who had a sphynx cat, his sister and I were in the same grade in grade school (Patrick was a few years older). He messaged me online asking a bunch of questions about sphynx’s and asked if I knew where he could get one, I gave him all the information and we stopped talking. His sister asked him a few weeks later how it went with me, he said it went good and he got the information from me. She said no dummy you were supposed to ask her on a date too. So then he messaged again and asked if I’d like to go on a date with him in Easton. We had dinner at 3rd and ferry and the rest is history!
The Proposal Story
Patrick and I had talked about getting engaged, while in the process of buying a house together. I went shopping with my mom and we got my size and style I liked, simple. I knew it was going to happen, but not when. He asked my dad about marrying me on Mother’s Day after brunch out with the family. We got home to the apartment afterwards, it was our last couple of weeks there, we had already started packing and already had a dog picked out (a rescue) and ready to be picked up the day we moved to the house. I went to the bathroom and came back and he was on one knee in the living room, holding our sphynx cat, Anya. It was perfect, private and memorable.
Best Part of being Engaged + some Advice
We’ve been engaged for about a year and a half, we are trulying living in this era of life together and felt like it was something we wanted to experience for longer. We’ll be getting married just 2 years after our engagement. We have been planning our elopement to Aruba, invited some close family and friends. We’ll be getting married on eagle beach on June 26th, 2026. A wedding celebration that matches the proposal, private and romantic. We adopted two dogs, both rescues, we’ve been working on home improvement projects, embracing our move from the city to the country, and taking our time planning our wedding and honeymoon.
If you’re considering an elopement, our advice is simple: go for it.
Have the wedding of your dreams—if eloping is what your perfect day looks like, then that’s exactly what you should do. There is no “right” way to celebrate your love; the best way is the one that feels true to you.
Let your wedding be a genuine reflection of who you are as a couple. And as you plan, remember to slow down, savor your engagement, and truly enjoy this special season of your lives.
