Just when we thought Port Clinton couldn’t get any cuter… Alyssa & Sal showed up! We spent the perfect day exploring the local trail & train station, soaking up those partly sunny skies and celebrating their love.
It was laughs from start to finish—and yes, they nailed the dip pose on their very first try!
How they Met & The Proposal
Alyssa and Sal met on Hinge. Sal liked Alyssa's profile first, and Alyssa thought he was really cute. Then she saw he was wearing a Metallica t-shirt (her favorite band) in one of his pictures. It's the first thing they talked about, and it turned out they're Sal's favorite band, too. After a couple weeks of messaging and long phone calls, Sal planned their first date for Barnes and Noble and the Cheesecake Factory.
Sal is a terrible secret keeper. The night he picked up the ring, he kept staring at Alyssa and smiling. She thought she knew what night it was going to happen, but not when. They went to look at Christmas lights at the Lehigh Valley Zoo, and she thought it might happen there. It didn't. Then they went to Lights in the Parkway and out to dinner. She thought it might happen in the restaurant. It didn't. When they got home, Sal took their border collie, Daisy, outside. He clipped a bag that said "Will you marry my dad?" to Daisy's collar, and Alyssa saw it soon after. She said yes! They were both so excited, and Sal said he wasn't nervous.
Best Part of the Engagement + Some Advice
Sal says spending time with the person he loves most. Alyssa likes showing off the ring (even though she forgot it at the engagement shoot 😉)
Don't stress over the small stuff! It'll all come together, and if you can laugh through it with the person you love most, it'll be that much easier!
