When Maria reached out to us to capture their 25 year anniversary, I was excited! It is not every day that you get to capture the love two people share that have been together for as long as Maria & Joel have been. It was an honor to capture them and their daughter at their home & on their lake. We had a blast. Let's wish them another 25 years! I asked them to share their story, read below in their own words. ❤
How they met & the proposal story
How did we meet? Well ..... Let's just say that I knew Joel's entire family for 10 years before I met him but once we finally met that was it and we have been together ever since! Not to sound too corny but it was love at first sight!
Joel never proposed to me so I don't have any big romantic story here to tell............LOL, One day he came home from work and I gave him the ole "We have to talk" He sat down on the couch and said OK ( he really thought I was breaking up with him) I went on to say "What are we doing here? We have been together for 4 years and we live together? Are we getting married or what?" His response " I guess we are getting married."
Best Part of Marriage
My favorite part about being married is that I always have my best friend by my side. I always have someone I can count on and who will be there for me through the thick and thin. We have created a life together so intertwined that I truly believe one of us would definitely be lost without the other. I love him with all my heart and I know he feels the same.
Advice from the hubby+wife
My advice for anyone whether it be a couple just getting married or someone who is already married is "NEVER! STOP! TRYING! and NEVER! GIVE! UP! We have had many ups and downs along the way but we got through them TOGETHER! When everything was against us we stood strong and faced it head-on TOGETHER!
