When Alyssa and Sal chose Catalpa Grove for their spring wedding, they were banking on sunshine — and honestly, they didn't need it. The day brought steady rain and moody skies, but inside those warm, timber-framed walls, the energy was nothing short of electric. The details told their story perfectly: a Metallica-inspired cake topper, Funko Pop figurines, bridesmaids throwing up rock horns at first look, and a "Merenda" logo blazing across the reception room wall like a headline act. Alyssa glowed through every moment — from the getting-ready suite where hairspray misted the air like a stage effect, to the ceremony arch draped in sunflowers and navy blooms where she and Sal couldn't stop smiling at each other. Their portraits in the rain outside the venue are some of my favorites I've ever made — two people completely in their element, soaking wet and laughing like it was the best night of their lives. Because it was. The sparkler exit closed out the night in true rock fashion, and Catalpa Grove has never looked more alive. Alyssa & Sal — you were absolutely made for each other, and this day was made for the highlight reel.
