2025 Was Pretty Wonderful!


Before we dive in, we want to say a huge, heartfelt thank you to every couple and client who invited us into their lives this year. From weddings filled with energy and emotion, Engagement sessions that made us smile, to quiet, intimate moments and beautifully planned surprises, it’s a privilege we never take for granted.

2025 was full, meaningful and quietly extraordinary in all the best ways.

So let’s take a moment to look back.

(drumroll) In 2025, We…


Photographed 17 incredible weddings, 10 surprise proposals and far too many to count engagement sessions. Each one brought its own spark, the nerves beforehand, the split-second reactions and the inevitable joy that follows. It never gets old.


One especially moving highlight was photographing the 55-year vow renewal of Sandie and Dale. Watching a couple recommit to one another after more than half a century together was deeply special and incredibly grounding. A beautiful reminder that love evolves, endures, and deserves celebrating at every stage.

Our Monthly Newsletters


In 2025, we wrote and sent 12 newsletters (last newsletter of the year hitting your inboxes soon!) and they’ve become one of our favourite ways to stay connected.


They’re a simple, once-a-month “hello, here’s what you might have missed” kind of thing. No inbox overload, no constant bombardment. Just a thoughtful monthly round-up of what we’ve been photographing, what’s inspired us, and what’s coming up next.

We introduced our BRAND NEW VIP Guardian Package


One of our biggest highlights this year was introducing a brand-new wedding package, the VIP Guardian Package and the response towards it has been incredible!


This package is intentionally loaded with the very best we offer. At its heart is a private editorial consultation, where we work closely with our couples to thoughtfully plan every photographic detail of the day. Carefully creating two styles of photography (documentary and editorial) with both Preston and Laurette as guaranteed photographers!


It's NEXT level and designed for couples who want something elevated, intentional, and truly personal and spaces are limited (only 5 a year!). It’s an experience, a vibe, and a legacy that'll refuse to fade - If you haven’t explored it yet, it’s well worth a look. We can't wait to work with all the VIP's that have secured us already!

The Team Behind the Scenes


None of this happens without the brilliant people behind the scenes, and our team has grown in the best possible way. This year, we welcomed Shannon to the Christman family, who now looks after all of our surprise proposals. She’s done a phenomenal job, bringing care, organisation, and calm to moments that matter enormously.


We also welcomed Peter, our main photographer’s assistant, who has his sights set on becoming a future second photographer. You’ll see him from time to time, learning, growing, and becoming an increasingly important part of the team. We’re incredibly proud of the talented, supportive, hard-working people on our team who make everything run so smoothly, they're truly the backbone of what we do. Meet our new team members here!

Over at Jim Thorpe Elopements HQ


This year was another exciting chapter for Jim Thorpe Elopements. We planned and photographed 7 incredible elopements, each one uniquely tailored and deeply meaningful. We can't wait to work alongside all the fabulous couples who have already booked us for next year!


We also created our official Jim Thorpe Elopements promotional video, giving couples a look inside the experience we offer.


We also had a bit of a pinch-me moment: We made an appearance on 6ABC and even landed ourselves on local billboards! If you spot us while you’re out and about, let us know!

All Things Boudoir (for the ladies!)


Laurette photographed a wonderful range of boudoir sessions this year and experimented with her Bucket List project. Each session was deeply personal and empowering in its own way. She also attended her first business retreat, which opened the door to new ideas, fresh perspective and some exciting plans quietly bubbling away in the background.

Both clearly struck a chord and sparked plenty of conversation.

On a personal note...


This year, we also invested in our own photoshoot a rare chance to step in front of the camera and experience what our clients do. It was refreshing, a little nerve-wracking, and ultimately so much fun. You can take a look at those images here.

and finally, this year also took us to New York, where we photographed Meredith and Andrew’s engagement session. The city delivered on every level, energy, character, atmosphere and yes, the best pizza of our lives. New York did not disappoint. We always love a little road trip!


Looking Ahead to 2026 (and 2027!)


We’re genuinely excited to be working with all the wonderful couples who have already booked us for 2026 and 2027. Our diary is filling, the ideas are flowing, and we can’t wait to continue creating thoughtful, meaningful work together.
