I Drove, and I discovered...
This post will be a little different compared to my recent posts. I had this idea to expand my portfolio with more wedding shots. I wanted to experiment with a new lens that I purchased, the 85mm at 1.8! What does that mean? Creamy backgrounds!!! I knew I would love to play around with it, but had to find an interesting place for another shoot. I drove for about 15 minutes and stumbled upon a small sunflower field a long side a private residence. I quickly pulled over, jumped out of my car, and immediately knocked on the door. A gentleman opened the door with a welcoming smile as I introduced myself and the idea of a possible photoshoot in his backyard. He was very excepting of the idea and gave the OK to come back later to shoot with my crew; My wife, my sister Larissa and her fiance Andrew. Now, I began my venture to find a field of "Goldenrods" to set the mood for another portfolio background.
Pennsylvania weather is extremely unpredictable. Summer has decided to stick around, even with it being the end of September. Therefore, the amount of bugs were insane! Specifically, those pesky little gnats. One of the major lessons learned is to always pack bug spray, even when you don't think it will be necessary. I usually withhold my comparable before and after shots, I wanted to show you what we had to endure to get some epic shots.
Those floating little white dots over my wife's head...they are all gnats! I hope you all enjoy the photos we captured this day.
