From the Photographer

The best part of my job is meeting great and fun couples like Mackensize & Jason. Although they love wings and beer like me, with a laid back personality, they also love to be unique & different. I know this because when Mackenzie reached out to me and wanted engagement photos somewhere "different" and "off the beaten path" it made me think about what is local to me! I reached out to a friend and she allowed us to use a private wooded area! It turned out to be the perfect place to celebrate their engagement with little Jaxon!

How They Met & The Proposal

We meet through Mackenzie’s sister who was friends with Jason. We talked to each other through her and then started to talk nonstop! We bought the ring after only being together for 5 months! Jason would always joke around and pretend like he was about to propose which got Mackenzie mad. Jason asked her to go on a trip up to Camelback Moutain which was something we would never do. As we drove up he started playing songs about marriage. When we got to the top and looked out over the view through the terrible fog, Jason got down on one knee and popped the question! Mackenzie was not shocked but surprised he finally did it!

Best Part of Being Engaged & Advice

The best part of being engaged is Wearing the ring... and being one step closer to getting married! My advice is to simply don’t stress! It takes a lot of planning but in the end, you’re guests aren’t going to wonder why you have purple napkins instead of white!
