From the Photographer

Katie & Sean’s engagement session took us on a scenic adventure to Bushkill Falls, and despite the gray, overcast skies, the park was nothing short of breathtaking. These two were full of energy, laughter, and genuine joy, making every moment a blast to capture. Along the trail, we even had a surprise encounter with Sasquatch—okay, it was just a wooden cutout—but we had some fun with it! From quiet waterfalls to hilarious woodland moments, this session had it all.

How they Met & the Proposal

We met in elementary school band. Katie was in 4th grade and Sean was in 5th grade. We both played the saxophone!

In February of 2024, there was a brief production of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead starring Billy Boyd & Dominic Monaghan. Katie is an English teacher who loves all things Shakespeare and Shakespeare-adjacent, and both Sean and Katie are big LOTR fans, so we had to go see Merry & Pippin in action, even if it meant we had to travel all the way to Nova Scotia to see it.

The morning of the play, we took a short trip to Peggy's Cove, a beautiful seaside spot with a lighthouse. It was really picturesque, but SO cold! Sean proposed in front of the lighthouse with Katie's great-grandmother's ring.

Best Part of the Engagement + Some Advice

The best part is knowing that this is what forever will be like. We are so ready! As for advice, Talk it out! We've found that the stress of wedding planning isn't so bad once we sit down and discuss what we think we really need, different ways we can organize ourselves, and when/how we are willing to make compromises for one another.
