Our time at the Session
Kicking off 2021 with a fun adventure! Laurette & I had a blast exploring Valley Forge National Park in King of Prussia, PA. I am already looking forward to my next session there. Caitlin & Chris are a couple that enjoys the finer things in life, like Reses Pieces & watermelon Sour Patch Kids. When they are not indulging in those fine snacks you can find them hitting the waves kayaking or sipping on their favorite beer. The session was super fun with tons of areas to explore. Before we get to some of the moments we shared, check out their story in their own words!
How they met & the Proposal
We met in 2018 when we were placed on the same client team at work. At that point, we became good friends. It wasn’t until about a year later that things turned romantic!
The night before my birthday, Chris had made dinner reservations at a local restaurant. It was a particularly warm day in November, so he suggested we have our own “happy hour” by the campfire in our backyard before heading to the restaurant. I was getting ready inside & was being badgered with texts from Chris, who was outside waiting for me by the fire, & insisting I needed to come fast to catch the sunset. I finished up my makeup & headed outside, confused because Chris has NEVER rushed me before! We sat and watched the sunset and reflected on the past few months of living together in our cute little house when Chris got down on one knee & finally popped the question. It was super sweet, intimate, and a complete surprise!
Best part of being Engaged & some Advice
Even before getting engaged, we both knew we wanted to spend forever together. Now that we are officially engaged, we can really start planning the rest of our lives together!
Keep in mind that the whole purpose of the wedding is to celebrate your love. It’s easy to get caught up in trying to plan a huge, epic party, but at the end of the day, it’s about you & your spouse & the future you’re building together. Your family & friends will have fun celebrating with you no matter what!
